Before your first cast: Ned-rig setup

Both of our Ned baits use a floating formulation. Start with a light Ned-style jig head, then check the finished rig in the water.

  1. Line it up

    Hold the hook beside the bait and note where the point should exit.

  2. Thread it straight

    Start at the center of the nose and guide the bait along the hook. Check from the side and above for bends or bunching.

  3. Check the action

    Lower the rig into clear water beside you. Your jig head and hook affect how the finished rig sits and falls.
