The hand-poured 5-inch Finesse Worm is a soft-plastic bass bait with a slim profile for subtle presentations. Choose it for drop-shot, shaky-head or Texas-rig setups when you want a longer worm without a bulky body.

Best for: Pressured bass and tough bites with a subtle, natural presentation.

Rigging guides: Texas rig · Drop shot.

  • Soft action with practical durability

How to fish the Finesse Worm

Use a drop shot to hold the worm above the bottom, or a Texas rig with the hook point lightly tucked for grass and wood edges. Keep the bait straight on the hook and leave the tail free. Start with small movements and pauses, then adjust to the conditions.

ON-THE-WATER GUIDE

Rig it. Fish it. Adjust.

5-inch Finesse Worm

Two practical starting setups for this bait. Choose for the cover and depth, then check the rig beside the bank before casting.

Texas rig

For grass and wood edges · tucked hook point

123
  1. Bullet weight ahead of bait
  2. Point lightly tucked
  3. Tail stays free

Rigging steps

  1. Slide a bullet sinker onto the line with its pointed end toward the rod, then tie on an offset worm hook.
  2. Push the hook into the nose and out just behind it. Slide the bait up to the offset, then turn it.
  3. Lay the hook beside the body to find the exit. Pierce belly-to-back and tuck just the point under the skin. Keep the bait straight.

How to fish it

Drag a short distance, then pause. Try a small lift-and-drop rather than a hard hop. A tucked point helps around cover, but is not snag-proof.

Drop shot

For clearer bottom or beside cover · exposed hook

123
  1. Hook through nose only
  2. Tag end below hook
  3. Sinker below bait

Rigging steps

  1. Tie on a drop-shot hook with a Palomar knot, leaving a long tag end.
  2. Feed the tag back down through the eye so the hook points up. Attach the sinker below the hook; adjust the spacing to hold the bait where you want it.
  3. Pierce only the nose from underside to top. Leave the point clear and the rest of the worm free.

How to fish it

Rest the sinker on bottom and gently twitch with a little slack. Pause before moving. Avoid pulling so hard that every twitch lifts the sinker.

Illustrations show placement, not scale. Dashed hook sections are inside the plastic. Tackle is shown for guidance; check product details for pack contents.
